Well, the phone's been ringing off the hook, so I guess we will have to launch the Website as it is!
It's very easy, just go to the download link on the left, select the county you are registered in, and download it!
Follow the directions (we want it to count!), get it notarized, and mail it in to the address on the front:
Recall Corzine Now!
P.O. Box 21
Glen Ridge, NJ 07028

Sorry, Stuart. But it's our time and our money to waste. You don't like the idea? Then shut up and let those of use who think it's a good idea get to work. You're not going to change anybody’s mind here. This should be of no surprise to you since your beloved governor hasn't let anybody change his mind with the hundreds of better ideas that were presented to him. And I don't mean all those town hall meetings that were packed with shills like you.
Get lost.

As posted by Laura, the comments are misplaced with other names. I placed a comment and instead of it being posted by me, it shows posted by C-K and my name shows a post stating I LOVE ARE GOVNER which I clearly do not. Please get the posts correct. No one wants to be misquoted. N. Norman

Think I figured out what is wrong with site. It does not let you edit your comment. Once you preview it, it must be posted or you get the next name posted to your comment.

I'm trying to track down the problem with the comments (I think the system is just overloading with all the hits).
Until we get it figured out, please just repost the comments with your name without using preview.

Goodbye Corzine!!!
Let's look at the facts - shall we?
sales tax increase from 6% to 7% - half of that was suppose to go to property tax relief (Oh for those whom have forgotten we were promised a 40% reduction in property taxes - remember??? last year's rebate was a joke and because of the incomes of a lot of families they weren't entitled to the full rebate anyway. Finally it's based up to 10K which in a few short years everyone in this state will be paying more than that anyway.
Teacher's and police salaries and benefits. We have the highest paid in the country for both and it is putting us in the poor house. For those people out there who say our police are worth every penny remember this - the military servicemen in Iraq are facing a much tougher job being policemen over there and make a fraction of what the NJ police make! The teachers unions are corrupt and greedy and have been enjoying raises that far surpass those in the private sector!
Here is a real thought - eliminate pensions for all new hires and require the families of the state workers to participate money into the medical benefits. Let's face it the private sector has almost eliminated pensions because of the costs. It's time for the state to follow suit! Say hello to 401Ks...
The suggestion of raising tolls 800% is nothing more than a gimmick and will not work. Try making cuts!!! More revenue will not fix this problem. We just proved that by raising the sales tax and the very next year we are back in the hole all over again...

as a continuation of the above post, make cuts where cuts are needed. While I'm not suggesting that some cuts are not needed in state grants to municipalities, don't threaten to cut property tax rebates and severely reduce aid to towns. Threatening cuts cause fear in most, but we must rise above and push for reduced spending where in relevant areas, like pensions, state employees, and benefits. Although I have no hard evidence, I could easily believe state employees books can quickly be reduced by a third. At a minimum, we could stop hiring new people and creating new positions!

Don't forget, this is the governor who had the nerve to re-nominate Jeanne Fox to another six-year term as head of the BPU in spite of a mountain of evidence showing she mismanaged the $100 million Clean Energy Fund, with no oversight, giving no bid contracts to friends and former BPU employees. Even the State Senate has refused to confirm her renomination until a whistle blower lawsuit against her and the BPU is settled. If the governor doesn't know well enough to fire an obviously corrupt, overpaid cabinet member, then he himself has to go.

I would guess that the very same people who are asking questions of the sort "who will you replace Corzine with?" and "how will 'spending' money on this effort save us money", are also the same type of folks who will sit back and bitch about how bad it is in this state and will also refuse to get up off their lazy butts to do anything about. Either that, or they are already part of the problem because of thier linkage (however indirect) to the pillage of the public treasury thatt's been going on for years.
Let's face it, corzine lied to get into office. Where I come from that's called fraud. If you or I did this to get a job, we could be fired and prosecuted for misrepresenting the facts. To ignore this simply because "all politicians do it" is idiotic. I think everyone forgets that the state government positions were orginally designed to be PART TIME - not a professional career. That's twhy the job pays only around $45,000 per year. Would you spend millions of dollars to end up with a $45,000 per year job?
Remeber, as someone once said "you get the government you deserve."

It's not enough to simply recall the simp. He has to go to jail .If you don't set a deterrent, this is all just a waste of tax payer energy and time. Have him do time for his solution( or lack of).
Fraud is still a crime ,I think. He's guilty of that at a minimum. You wouldn't know it though in this state.
Have him on the county jail road crew. He might get the drift. Personally I think He's too stupid
to even come out of the rain.
The reason He, and all his little androids ,can do this is because we have all those do-nothing high paid morons we call judges who will back his insanity. The judges have to go too. Oh I forgot draft-dodging pot smoking judges who fear the thought of a real job. that's my stand and I'm sticking to it.
Judges make the problem worse. Pay every state employee piece work pay. Pay only for what they do. You will save billions that way.

Can we get an update on how the campaign is going? I haven't heard any news on our effort lately or seen anything in print. I have collected over 30 signatures that will be mailed in this week. Many people I've contacted don't know of the recall effort. Interestingly only 6 were hesitant to sign and of those 2 signed 1 said he was good for the "teachers" and 2 said they couldn't sign because of their "positions" and the last said "he hasn't been in long enough, and look what the other guy did!". I think we need more info spread thru 101.5, newspapers, etc. Announcing the total (assuming it's fairly impressive so far) with a call for renewed effort to make the goal might help. We need to make sure people know it's still alive and working.

If you are going to maintain a website encouraging people to sign a petition, you should at least have a detailed description of your views and justifications.

JM - As I have said elsewhere on this site, this is a site for people who have already educated themselves about the current condition of the state and the Governor's poor performance. While I would love to have the time to create another site discussing those things, this project is more than enough for me right now.
